Crostini Bread for Dipping

This crostini bread for dipping is so simple and easy and it will sure change things up from a tortilla chip. The good news is it’s stronger than a tortilla chip and a little cheaper. All you need is some kind of a loaf bread, butter, and some of your favorite seasonings. You can use your favorite kind of bread but in the recipe, we just choose a plain French loaf or baguette. French bread slices easy and is usually inexpensive.

Crostini Bread for Dipping

Ingredients

1 loaf of French bread (or your favorite type of loaf bread)

1/2 cup melted butter.

2 tsp. garlic powder (you can use your favorite seasoning and put as much or as little as you like)

*Optional: You can also use Everything but the Bagel Seasoning, Garlic Salt, Parsley, or even Parmesan cheese!

Instructions

Pre heat your oven at 350 degrees.

Cut you loaf of bread into small slices. Ours was about 1/2 inch thick.

Spread the bread slices on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or a silicone baking sheet. You want all of your edges to be crispy!

Melt the butter in the microwave and add your favorite seasoning.

Then with a cooking brush spread the butter onto the bread.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.

Tip: Invest in a good silicone cooking and basting brush. You will thank yourself later!

Enjoy these with all of your thick, heavy, hearty dips!

  • If you choose not to use butter or seasoning, brush each piece with a little olive oil.

Notes

This recipe makes a more garlic toast recipe, however it does go great with chili or a thicker type of dip.  In that case, you would just brush each piece with a little olive oil a bake per the instructions.

More Options for using crostini.

  • Brush with Olive oil as need and sprinkle on a little parmesan cheese. Once removed from the oven you can add a small amount tomato sauce or half a cherry tomato.
  • You can also add some fresh mozzarella, and once out of the over you can sprinkle a little dried basil, or a fresh basil leaf.
  • This also tastes great with a small amount of shredded sharp cheese used to dipping in a thick chili.
